About Dr. John Broderick.
Dr. Broderick is President of the Landmark Medical Group. Landmark is part of Optum® Home & Community Care.
Prior to being named President of the Landmark Medical Group, Dr. Broderick was the Chief Clinical Officer, East at Landmark Health following successfully launching Landmark’s second market. In these roles, Dr. Broderick assisted in launching multiple markets in the East, Midwest, and South expanding the number of patients cared for in risk arrangements with multiple health plan partners by 100%. He introduced and successfully oversaw numerous clinical initiatives that have since become part of the Landmark clinical and operations model.
Dr. Broderick was introduced to value-based healthcare while serving as Chief Medical Officer at Adirondack Health in upstate New York, a not-for-profit hospital and healthcare organization with a commitment to serve people who live in the Adirondacks and nearby. Dr. Broderick has also served as Medical Director at St. Joseph’s Addiction Treatment & Recovery Center, as well as on Adirondack Health’s Committee as President, Medical Staff and as a Medical Executive Committee Member. He was awarded the Martin L. Block Award for Clinical Innovation & Excellence in March 2016 while service as Medical Director for Landmark Health.
Actively involved in the community, Dr. Broderick is on the Foundation Board of Directors at The Community Hospice in Albany, NY, currently serving on the Resource Initiative & Society for Education (RISE) Association Board and was formally on the Board of Directors at the Adirondack Health Institute and former member of New York States State Emergency Medical Advisory Board. He started his career in academics, teaching medical students and residents, forming an emergency medicine ultrasound program, and contributing to various articles.
Dr. Broderick received his medical education from State University of New York, Stony Brook, School of Medicine, and his residency in Emergency Medicine from the Combined MetroHealth Medical Center/Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, Ohio.
